Sticky Situation

I am almost physically incapable of interacting with syrup without getting some in my hair, eyebrows, arm hair, etc.

I didn't even consume any syrup today. I simply poured a tiny bit onto pancakes my nephew was eating for  lunch and I ended up with a piece of crumpled straw wrapper coated in strawberry syrup stuck to the side of my head.

I am fairly certain other people don't have this problem.

  1. Well, I have the same problem with marmalade. All I have to do is look at the jar and it just manages to somehow transport itself onto my hands or shirt.

  2. A couple of weeks ago I was in a restaurant with syrup bottles on the tables. I didn't even eat there, let alone eat syrup, when I got home I discovered a sticky patch of syrup in the armpit of my shirt!!

  3. The syrup is evil. It's an amoeba who is constantly trying to take over the world. Thus it is always splitting and trying to attach it'self to other places so it can travel.

Happens in my house all the time. Even when I buy new syrup.

But seriously, if it weren't for the sugar in it, it'd make a great glue. The only thing that rivals it in it's crazy sticky life is marshmallows who've been heated. That smack's concrete.

*First time poster, found your blog recently and love it!

  4. You totally should have done a painting of you with various random objects stuck to you with syrup. I don't have a problem with syrup, but I can't use flour without getting it EVERYWHERE, including on myself.

  5. Whenever I pick up a pen, I have the insatiable urge to write on myself and others with it. It's sort of like you and syrup.
