I would like to state, for the record, that the comic originally said "waitron" instead of waitress, but it was argued that normal people don't use the word waitron and that it would mar the joke. I urge you, however, to start referring to your wait people as waitrons, as it is an awesome genderless term that makes them sound like SUPER SERVICE ROBOTS.

That is why my husband and I have to order the same drink. He always drinks all of his and half of mine before he gets a refill. We have terrible luck with waitrons.
ReplyDeleteWaitron! Ha!
ReplyDeleteLOL, very useful tips!!! I'll try it next time when I deal with waitrons...hehehe
ReplyDeleteI'm so totally going to do that. I have no shame in bothering someone to do their job if it involves asking them to refill my drink. I try to be polite about it so they don't spit in my food but yeah.
ReplyDeletewe just had a similar waitron experience. dude was straight up NOT helpful to us! at one point i resorted to the (admittedly rude) "oh, hey!" when i saw him walking by - because i hadn't a clue when he'd be coming back again!
ReplyDeleteI love "waitron" and I HATE it when my water isn't refilled. I usually end up drinking everyone else's before I get a refill. So sad.
ReplyDeleteI thought you were going for a "moron" mixed with "wait[gender ending]". It must be a new math thing, or my half headache, luckily the pain tumor is migrational, obviously heavier than normal brain matter and its settled downwardly to the right side of my brain while laying here getting in touch with the you-niverse. I'm just glad you didn't die of dehydration, would've been sad.
ReplyDeleteI once went an entire meal with one drink. Let's just say the tip reflected the non-existent service.
ReplyDeleteThis happens to me with coffee... always the coffee. So I am not shy about getting up, taking the pot and then end up filling so many other in the same predicament along the way.... often leading to a lack of coffee to fill my own. ugh.
