Musical Interlude- Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me

This song keeps coming on the radio, though I had never heard it before, prior to last week.  Had no idea it was an Elton John song, but since it keeps coming on, I figured it wanted an illustration.

Oh, and also, I'm immature.

But losing everything is like the sun going down on me ~Elton John

I'm sorry. Just tell your coworkers/elderly mother/children it's the sun setting on a road in desert dunes.

    1. No, I'm sorry, don't die! I'll be less funny.

    2. My thought process, because the pic registers faster in my brain than the worlds, "is that? No! Can't be. It's probably just mountains or something. Does she know what it looks like? She must." As I read through the post it just got funnier and funnier. I'm still alive though.

  3. The road between those hills has a dangerous camber on it, you'd break badly in the wet - an accident waiting to happen...

  8. Thank god it's not just me that imagines that. Beautifully drawn by the way. You should win a peace prize for this for uniting people over a common thought X3

  9. That is awesome.

My husband always takes perfectly nice song lyrics and then ruins the song for me by turning it into something inappropriate. E.g.: "Carry On" by Ben's Brother. Love it. Awesome inspirational song with lyrics like, "Whatever comes, however painful, however long..." Yeah. Thanks, dear.

  10. Seriously.... I haven't laughed this hard for days! I actually sang this song for a "talent" competition. I will never think of this song the same way again.

My apologies for being an absentee reader for a while. I need to stop in more often.

  15. Sir Elton Hercules John may sing the song and write the music, but practically all his lyrics are from longtime collaborator Bernie Taupin.
