Does everyone have these people?
The ones who pop up when you are really upset and end up making everything SO MUCH WORSE?
Inevitably, every time you're really upset there they are, like some sort of suffering magnet, ready to beat you down until you are quivering jelly on the floor with their special misery boot-imprint stamped right on your globby forehead.
It should be legal to set those people on fire.
Just sayin'.
Hahaha...you mean its not legal?
ReplyDeleteIf I were on a jury, I might let it go.
DeleteI have several of those friends. That may be why I never answer my door.
ReplyDeleteBaked Alaska ain't got shit on that.
ReplyDeleteI hate those people. It's even worse if they are attractive and rich.
ReplyDeleteyou totally described people I know. why do I know them?!??
ReplyDeletebest,
MOV
They are a plague upon the earth and seem to be totally unavoidable.
DeleteIs there a petition to get that legalized that you are working on?
ReplyDeleteI'm right on top of that, Rose.
DeleteIt does seem like it should be an inalienable right, though.
These people are closely related to those who have what you have, but worse. You have bladder cancer? NpBe thankful you HAVE a bladder!
ReplyDeleteI was just writing about how I might inadvertently be a one-upper (for a future post), but I think the people you describe might actually grief shamers. HOW DARE YOU BE SAD ABOUT SOMETHING!? People in the world suffer more so you should never have a negative feeling ever. Yeah. I am totally not one of those.
DeleteOops, I may be one of those people... just not as extreem. I call it being positive/looking on the bright side. It helps me through life knowing I am not as bad off as so many other people... But I don't throw it in other people's faces when they are really suffering something bad. But,if someone drops their cookie on the floor and then won't shut up about it, I would say something about it.
DeleteAnd then everyone else in the world talks about what a good, supportive, sympathetic person Pain Magnet is...
ReplyDeleteI see you know these people too. ;)
DeleteI think I'm an accidental one upper too. It's not that I want to be better, it's that I want to share my story too.
ReplyDeleteYou should find solace in my upcoming post then. =)
DeleteI love the t-shirt you are wearing in this cartoon. Is it a real thing or did you draw it just to taunt me? I would love to get one for my son if it is a real thing.
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed a real shirt that I created and was wearing yesterday. I tried putting it on zazzle and they took it down. Let me see if I can't put it somewhere else for you. Stay tuned.
DeleteAnd here you go! http://www.cafepress.com/cheeseblarg
DeleteI was thinking the same thing. The cartoon was hilarious, and very accurate, but WHERE can I get that T-shirt!?!?! :)
ReplyDeleteYup, available here until they catch on and take it down. =P

I think I'm dating one...
ReplyDeleteI so hate it when I find myself acting like a one upper.. but it is so hard to say , wait wait no, I meant I thought I could relate, not trying to belittle you in anyway..
ReplyDeleteoh crap, did I just do it again?
