Warning, Meteorites!

I honestly had no idea what this sign meant, despite driving past it countless times when driving through my friend's neighborhood. I always thought it meant "Look out for Meteorites!" You've gotta give it to me though, it DOES look way more like a meteorite than an eye. In fact, I think, when informed that it was a Neighborhood Watch sign, I actually said, "What do meteorites have to do with crime?"

I like to imagine it being left over from the Cretaceous Period. If only they had had a Meteorite watch... if only.

  1. Normal neighborhood watch signs are white and blue and black. That is weird that the white part of the eye is a blue extremely similar to the background. These are the ones I am familiar with in Texas: http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/12150828.jpg But, I guess it looks more like a meteorite than the one there in your picture. :P

  2. Does this mean that the Neighborhood Watch members throw meteorites at suspicious people?

  3. I got all excited about this and wanted to know what town had such a large meteorite problem that warranted a sign. How sad that it is just a neighborhood watch! Maybe I'll make my own sign!

  4. The Neighborhood watch sings I have seen are black and white with a yellow background. I have never seen a blue one. The blues make it very confusing.

  5. It's a vagina, on its side. A blue vagina. From avatar, perhaps?
