Hanukkah 2013: 3rd Night- Ornament-O-Rama

On the third night of Hanukkah, your Cheeseblarg gives to you:

A tree full of bitchin' ornaments!

The Ornament-O-Rama project was one of the best ideas I have had in a long time. Twenty-seven whole people sent in ornaments for the Cheeseblarg Christmas tree, plus more are on their way (which will be shared when they get here)!

Get ready, there are a bunch of pictures coming with links where you can buy or make your own! Please give these awesome Cheeseblargians an internet round of applause (and a whole lot of traffic) for all their hard work and generosity. I'm sure they would love you to pin their contributions to your Pinterest boards, too!

Thanks again, guys! And now, onto the best ornaments ever made!

Zombie bacon!

Plus, Amber sent me a kit to make my own ginger bread matchstick box, AND extra balls to fill out my tree!

Beth also sent me a link to download her Paranormal Romance novella, which I will totally be reading soon!

Dar hand makes these tree skirts themed with your favorite things. I think I'd like to wear it as an actual skirt when Christmas is over.

Daleks in beads!

Katie actually sent me five of these. Go to her blog and see them all!

Hanukkah 2013: 1st Night - Dino Ball

On the first night of Hanukkah, your Cheeseblarg gives to you:

Hilarious conversation while trying to assemble my Christmas tree
AND
An ornament giveaway!

So, this is what the box from the tree I got suggests it looks like:

This is what it looked like when my husband and I were done assembling it:

Slight disparity there...
Of course, I blame it on me being Jewish.

Mike (Handing me middle section to fluff because I was being neurotic and was nagging at him to take the tag off the section because tags bother me.)
Me: I don't know what I'm doing. I'm Jewish, I don't know what a tree is supposed to look like.
Mike: What? How can you blame that on being Jewish?
Me: I grew up in Miami Beach, dude, there are no pine trees there! If this was a palm tree, I could totally arrange it.
Mike: Just keep doing it.
Me: My fingers hurt. I'm covered in fake pine needles. This tree sucks.

And then, since he doesn't despise nature like his wife does, and he grew up in Vermont where there are pine trees out the wazoo, he fixed it all because, really... I don't know how tree arms are supposed to go (which is probably apparent since 'tree arms' is how my brain refers to branches). I'm pretty sure the above picture was before it was fixed. He did the bottom and the top... the jacked middle part was the part I did.

Once it was all put together, I looked at the assembly instructions and realized that there was totally a diagram to arrange the branches. It was not anything close to what I had done. Clearly.

The tree no longer sucks, by the way. It is completely and totally covered in the best ornaments ever made. And I don't just mean the ones that I made, though the ones I made are pretty awesome, like this ornament, that was inspired by my papercraft tree. I give you DINO BALL!

LITERALLY

This felted ornament ball will be given away to one lucky reader after December 4th (the last night of Hanukkah). To be eligible to win him, you just have to comment on each of the 8 posts I create for Hanukkah within 48 hours of it being posted. On the sixth of December, I will announce the winner of the ornament, picked from the pool of people who have commented on each post. An extra entry can be earned by sharing each post and pasting a link to your tout in your comment each day. You may share on twitter, tumblr, a public facebook post, or pinterest, but posting on more than one does not earn additional entries for the day. A total of 9 entries is possible.

Should no one comment each day, in order to make me cry, I will figure out some other way to give it out, or I will keep it and be extremely bitter.

Also, commenting with a Haiku is totally appropriate (remember- that is syllables of 5-7-5)

Hanukkah 2011- 8th Night- From Us to You!

It's the last night of Hanukkah. Despite what calendars say, it is over now. Tomorrow is the last day, but Jews don't acknowledge days. We are like the vampires of the holiday world.
It has been a wild ride. You got some crappy gifts, I did too, but it was fun. Wasn't it? Okay, it wasn't terribly painful? Maybe a little? But the fun kind? Damn it, people!

Whatever, here is your stupid jerk gift.

(unwrap it... with the link below... or scroll... wow, this has been tedious telling people how to access a webpage...)

September Sticker Sale- T-Rex Wants Ice Cream

Dinosaurs just can't catch a break!

I drew this sticker because I had a dream about dinosaurs last night where I had a teacup triceratops that was bright red, and it was super cute and liked snuggling/ nuzzling its horns into my throat. My neighbors had miniature brachiosauruses that were nibbling on geraniums in their front yard.

This is a limited edition sticker, sold only during September.  There are 48 available.

No longer being sold, sorry!

As always, this is a homemade, hand cut, matte finish sticker. It measures 4" by about 3.3". There is no additional shipping. All sent in a standard envelope with a cute drawing on it by me. And as always, if you have the desire to pay me extra money, the option is available (and super mega appreciated).

Please remember to choose a payment option before clicking "buy me!"- International buyers, please choose international shipping for the first sticker and US pricing for any additional stickers.

Thank you to those who bought last month.  You bought us gas and medicine... and medicine for gas!
