I Ain't Afraid of No Reboots!

This post has no spoilers unless you think drawings of myself and characters from the movies are spoilers, then there are spoilers, but no details of the plot of the movie itself.

So, if you've been paying attention for any amount of time, you should know that I am a gigantic Ghostbusters fan. Unlike most of the people on the tubes, I was super looking forward to the release of the new Ghostbusters reboot, which should be clear since I made a goal of going to the movie AND picking my nose in said movie (which I totally achieved):

Artist's Rendering

I even made my own shirt for the occasion, which was the most obnoxious experience ever. I mean, who makes a t-shirt transfer that CAN'T BE WASHED *glares at Horizon Group USA*

If you want one, too, you can buy one by clicking the picture, because iron-ons are a pain in the ass (There are also stickers, mini skirts, and prints available). Or pledge a dollar or more on Patreon for access to the unwatermarked version to make your own if you enjoy ass pains.

But my thoughts on the movie...

I LOVED IT!

Now my nephew, who is the kid next to me in the picture above ignoring my finger in my nose, thought it was better than the original, but I quickly corrected him, because that is verging on blasphemy. But it was just as good, I think, and its own thing.

Of course, there are many (cheek-bustingly delightful) references to the original, which I won't elaborate on, but it really is an entirely new thing which real fans of the movie (who don't have some weird principle against a universe being expanded -- or yucky girls) should absolutely love.
Love, love, love, love, love. And so far, all the fans I know are really feeling exactly that, so it is not just because I usually keep my expectations almost as low as they can go when it comes to media. That is to say, if I am entertained, I am willing to call something entertainment, but this was more than entertainment; it was a new and expanded look at a franchise that has been dear to my heart since I was 8 years old, and I think it will bring a new generation of 8-year-olds into the fray. I can't wait for more!

In the meantime, I'll just bring everyone I know to go see it, and draw fan art, and read all I can about it and fantasize about joining the crew!

January Sticker Sale- It's a Trap(tor) Color Sticker

Hi there.

I have been thinking for days, "Damn it JRose, you should post something... just post SOMETHING!" but the problem is, everything I draw or try to write comes out like poop. Not out of my butt, I mean it looks like/reads like crap. There are reasons, but never mind that now, never mind that. As soon as I can produce something worth looking at/reading, you guys will be the first to know. In the meantime:

New year, new sticker, old image, because really, my drawing ability is broken...not kidding, but the picture is different, at least. As are the rules. There are only 50 of these limited edition stickers, but I will sell them until they are gone. Each is about 3.75" x 3.7".  Printed on sticker paper, by me. Cut by hand (that means it might not be Stakenblochen). Sent first class via USPS (shipping is included).

[no longer available]

For those outside the US, please choose the outside US option for the first sticker, and $3.50 for any additional sticker in the same order.

If you have a problem with Paypal but would like to buy a sticker, let me know and I can provide other payment sources, as well as accepting cash and candy.

Ornament Narwhal Sticker Price Options

(for those viewing by RSS there is a button to buy the sticker on the actual page)

These stickers are only available during December. It is a limited edition sticker with only 25 available for sale. With shipping, each sticker is $2 USD. You can choose to send me more if you like, in case you are feeling generous, what with the holiday season and all, but of course, you don't have to.

Each hand cut sticker is around 3.75  inches high by about 3.25 inches wide and has a matte finish. Will be sent first class mail by USPS.  For those outside the US, please choose the outside US option for the first sticker, and $2 for any additional sticker in the same order.

Why am I selling stickers?
Because people buy them and collecting things is fun.
Also, we've had no income since in May. And, stickers are awesome, are within my skill set, and I like making money using my skills.

Donation? Why would I give you a donation? Stop panhandling!
The "donation" is just an option to pay a little bit extra, if one feels like it- for example, if you feel you have gotten extra value out of me drawing for you and making you laugh on a somewhat regular basis. One of my favorite musicians offers her albums for "60 cents or more," online and I wanted to do something similar, but I couldn't do it the way I wanted to because I needed to keep track of how many items sell, since the stickers are limited edition. No one is obligated to send me more, but it is there if you want to.
And stop being mean, I am not panhandling... I work hard on this blarg... Plus panhandling implies that I smell bad and have a sign. I have no sign.

September Sticker Sale- T-Rex Wants Ice Cream

Dinosaurs just can't catch a break!

I drew this sticker because I had a dream about dinosaurs last night where I had a teacup triceratops that was bright red, and it was super cute and liked snuggling/ nuzzling its horns into my throat. My neighbors had miniature brachiosauruses that were nibbling on geraniums in their front yard.

This is a limited edition sticker, sold only during September.  There are 48 available.

No longer being sold, sorry!

As always, this is a homemade, hand cut, matte finish sticker. It measures 4" by about 3.3". There is no additional shipping. All sent in a standard envelope with a cute drawing on it by me. And as always, if you have the desire to pay me extra money, the option is available (and super mega appreciated).

Please remember to choose a payment option before clicking "buy me!"- International buyers, please choose international shipping for the first sticker and US pricing for any additional stickers.

Thank you to those who bought last month.  You bought us gas and medicine... and medicine for gas!

Mischief Managed!

I made this to wear for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. I figured others might like their own.

Fluffy Shirt from Zazzle.com (my shop... clearly)
It is totally customizable, so you can make any color shirt, kid's shirts, etc.
AND there is a coupon code for the time being for 15% off:  STUDYINSTYLE
Yeah, it's been taken down... but I will find a home for it if there is any interest. Or if you have a screen printing company... *wink nudge*

Oh, and Allie Brosh liked my drawing of her and "Simple Dog" Fluffy and we had this exchange:

And if you would like to add me on Google+, be my guest!

August Sticker Sale- Cake Squirrel is not a lie.

Why am I selling stickers?

My husband lost his job in May. I'd like to pick up some slack until he is able to find a new job. Plus, stickers are awesome, are within my skill set, and I like being able to not be stressed constantly about money. There will be more limited edition and one of a kind items for sale each month, as well.

More?

The "more" is just an option to pay a little bit extra, if one feels like it. One of my favorite musicians offers her albums for "60 cents or more," online and I wanted to do something similar, but I couldn't do it the way I wanted to because I needed to keep track of how many items sell, since the stickers are limited edition.

On average, I spend 2-3 hours a day working on stuff for the blarg. Sometimes up to 6 hours a day. It's unpaid. I don't get ad revenue until I reach a GIANT amount, which will take time, doing it the legal way (still).  I try to post 5 days a week... so if someone wanted to pay me more, out of the kindness of their heart, I wanted to give them the option!
